Hi,

I am trying to find an alternative to the MCT8316Z .

The motor lock detection and the adjustment of the parameters like 'motor lock detection time' with SPI of the MCT8316Z is the most important feature for our client and I wanted to ask if there is any other device which has the same motor lock detection feature also with adjustable parameters?

Hi Alex,

DRV8307 is a sensored trapezoidal gate driver with lock detection, however it does not have any configurability.

DRV10987 is a sensorless sine integrated MOSFET driver and has lock detection configured through I2C.

Can you provide more inputs on the customer requirements? Supply voltage, motor current, lock detection parameters, etc?

Unfortunately I do not have more inputs on the requirements.

But I think for now its enough to know that we have the DRV10987 as an alternative which I will suggest to the customer and then hopefully get more details on the requirements.
