DRV2605: actuator oscillation at calibration

Hi Expert,

My customer have some questions about DRV2605 calibration

1. Does DRV2605 need to operate actuator oscillation at calibration?

2. Actually, when they tried to do the calibration, the actuator was oscillated, even if they set the oscillation value is zero. is it normal operation?

It is normal for actuator to oscillate during calibration it is part of the routine.

Hey Ta,

Unfortunately the actuator has to operate in order for calibration to have any effect on scaling the back-EMF properly. This paragraph explains purpose of calibration:
