Hi Abdul,
DRV110 requires passive components to operate as intended. Since you are interested in configuring current levels via software, the best suggestion I have for you is to design a system that has capability of switching between the pre-defined/calculated resistor networks that fits your application.
For example, you could control a MUX via software that connects the different peak/hold current configurations. Nonetheless, you will need to populate passive components regardless of what method you chose to complete your design.
TI's MSP430 Launch Pad is a great platform to develop the software capable of controlling the passive component switching.
