Hi Sor/Madam,

I want a BLDC motor driver having below specs. Please suggest me a suitable driver from your portfolia:

Motor  Type Brushless DC (BLDC)
Bipolar
Start Control Yes
Brake Control Yes
Fault Output Yes
Direction control Yes
Output Configuration Pre-Driver - Half Bridge (3)
Interface type Analog
Voltage - Supply 10V ~ 30V
Output Current 100 mA
Operating Supply Current 14 mA
Operating Frequency 25 KHz
Pd - Power Dissipation(W) 0.65
Feedback Hall Sensors
  • Hello Yogesh,

Thank you for your interest in our products.

Just to clarify a detail for some of the specs, for interface type you have it set as analog. By analog are you referring to analog voltage sets to set the target speed or a driver that accepts analog output from the hall effect sensors? Additionally, for the supply voltage you have 10V-30V, is this taking into consideration voltage margins?

    Isaac

  • Hi Issac Lara,

    Thanks for the quick response!

By Analog interface I mean hall sesnor output, Speed set input as analog inputs.

10-30V is the voltage margin.I will need one which works fine for 24VDC.

    Regards,

    Yogesh

  • Hello Yogesh,

Thanks for the the clarification on those. Based on the information you provided my recommendation would be the MCT8316Z with an absolute max voltage of 40V, and 8A peak current. This device has integrated FETs capable of handling the 100mA requirement for your motor, as well as supporting hall sensor inputs. There is a SPI and a hardware variant if you would like to control direction via SPI or hardware you can choose the interface that works best for you.

Important: One thing to note is that this device has sensored trapezoidal control, so if you need sinusoidal or FOC this device will not work for your motor. Feel free to review the datasheet and let me know if you have any additional questions.

  • Hi Isaac Lara,

Kindly find below part no for which I'm trying to find the drop in replacement:

    MC33035DWG make: ON semi.

For MC33035DWG, It is using voltage controlled method. Can you please confirm that MCT8316Z will be exact replacement to MC33035.

  • Hello Yogesh,

Unfortunately we do not have any devices that are a direct drop in replacement for the ON Semi part
