DRV2700: Closed loop control system issue

Part Number: DRV2700

The customer intends to add Hall sensor or TMR sensor to feedback the position signal to DRV2700, and then control the piezoelectric motor to move the position. Would you like to offer the concrete steps to operate?

Best Regards,
Cherry Zhou

  • Hello Cherry,

Could you be more clear by what you mean by concrete steps to operate?

DRV2700 acts like a high voltage boosted amplifier, would you just be applying a DC current to move a motor?

    Carson

  • Hi, the customer uses a camera piezo motor system to drive the lens. The customer would like to know the movement of the lens, so the position sensor (Hall sensor) is added to the system and the position sensor will feedback to the drive IC until the lens reaches the correct position. The customer would like to know if a recommended architectural approach can be provided, or is TI willing to develop such an IC?

  • Hello Cherry,

We have no such feedback approach we can offer, the DRV2700 works like an amplifier of sorts and beyond that we cannot build a feedback system, that is more their responsibility and we could give feedback on their design. Now if this a larger customer with a large demand please email separately to me.

    Best Regards,
