DRV8212: Current spec inquiry

Hi Team,

I am confused about the current spec of DRV8212, the datasheet shows that the peak output current is 4A, however, the description on the website shows 2A, which one is correct?

Hi,

The output current is limit by many condition. Like the footnote in the datasheet, power dissipation and thermal limits must be observed. You can follow the calculation in the datasheet with your own condition like ambient temperature for a accuracy maximum limit match your application.
