DRV8840: Shoot-through protection

Hi team,

Does DRV8840 have shoot-through protection circuit for H-bridge? If you have any explanatory materials on this, could you let me know? Also, if you have dead time information, could you let me know?

Hello Yamaguchi san,

I am happy to help! I can confirm that the DRV8840 does possess shoot-through protection and has dead time to avoid shoot-through, the datasheet unfortunately lacks this information, however the following graph is helpful to demonstrate the effects of the shoot-through protection:

Regarding your dead time question, it is typically 400ns.
