DRV8256PEVM: DRV8256PEVM has incorrect IC(P3DRV8436) in EVM board.

DRV8256PEVM board is mounted a wrong IC DRV8436.

Meanwhile, this DRV8436 is P3DRV8436, not DRV8436P. DRV8436E could not match DRV8256P pin definition.

So, this DRV8256PEVM could not be used in my application.

I want to know how to deal with this issue. And it is very urgent for me. Now I need to debug this circuit, but no EVM is correct now!

HELP!!!

Hi Freda,

I am in the process of getting some EVMs from our warehouse to verify if the wrong ICs were soldered to these EVMs during assembly. We will see what we can do to send you an EVM with the correct part or DRV8256P ICs.

Hi Freda,

I was able to confirm that the wrong IC is populated on the board. We are in the process of reworking the EVMs to replace them with the correct DRV8256P IC.

Please go to the customer support website to request a new EVM. We pulled all of the inventory out of stock for rework which will take a several weeks to complete. You will receive the new EVM once they are back in inventory.
