DRV8847: Is it possible to apply voltage on the digital pin while the VM is open?

Hi Team

Does the DRV8847 supports the digital pin control single while the VM left open as below?

The customer is worrying about latch-up might damage the chip during this event.

According to datasheet 6.1 DRV8847 should supports this kind of event, is that correct?

The digital inputs can be tied to a logic high value when VM=0V. However, you won't be able to control the outputs since VM=0V.
