Dear team,

Is there any way tuning to align the motor's phase current to improve efficiency?

In case of DRV10963, there is Control Advance Angle function but the DRV10964 is fixed type. is it right?

To improve efficiency of DRV10964, Is there any way of tuning DRV10964 angle using external circuit or layout?

Hi Dino,

DRV10964 does not have a dedicated pin to tune the lead angle. Can you try adding an external resistor (few mOhms) on all three phases? Lead angle can be adjusted by changing the L/R time constant of the motor.

Adding an external resistor will in fact decrease the efficiency due to I²R losses. You can still try this method to see if the efficiency improves.
