DRV8834EVM: Is there a packet API to call?

The customer would like to know does the DRV8834EVM + MSP430F2617 set of development have Api available for calling.

For example, like the red box below, there is a package API that allows the customer to use a program to set nSleep or forward, reverse, or 1/16 turn:

The customer also would like to know if the driver IC can be controlled to the MCU on the development board by instructions under Putty.

I am not familiar with Putty. If they can send USB commands, the FTDI chip on the EVM will translate to serial commands to the onboard MSP430.

I am not sure if Putty uses same serial interface as MSP430, but if it does, then it should be possible to bypass FTDI chip.

Thanks for your reply! USB commands can be sent .

And the customer still has the following questions:

1. Are there any associated USB command files can be referenced? For example, an instruction which shows firmware version number, or the command to control the motor...

2. What is the baud rate of the Com port?

If you have trouble with these problems, please let me know and I would ask the customer to open a new thread.

1) We use a third party to develop our GUIs, so I really have no idea.

2) 9600 for the current GUI.
