DRV10975: Can the DRV10975Z be used with external 5V?

I'm designing a board that will probably have an efficient regulated 5V supply, and will certainly have regulated 3.3V. Can I apply 5V (or 3.3V if it's all I have) to the VREG pin and leave SW disconnected to reduce power loss?

    Hello John,

    Thanks for your question. I have attached an image below for reference, but the logic core is powered  from the 1.8V LDO which is powered via the Step-down regulator. For this reason we do not recommend connecting an external power supply to VREG pin as it may damage the device.
