MCF8316A: about settings

Part Number: MCF8316A

Hello E2E,

Please let me know about MCF8613A.

1:
Does NC-pin must be open? NC-pin is connected to GND at EVM.

2:
Customers plan to use TI's GUI and PC to control the MCF8316A mounted on their designing board.
Our Customer is looking for control circuit board for MCF8316A. (like a left side of EVM)
Is it able to substitute in MSP430-EVM?

3:
Please let me know how to handle for EXT_CLK, EXT_WD, DACOUT2, and DACOUT1 that when unuse.

    We recommend all NC pins (pin #22 to pin #25) to be left floating.

    I don't think it is possible to replace the left side of the EVM with an MSP430 launchpad as the schematic of both boards are different.

    EXT_CLK, EXT_WD, DACOUT2 and DACOUT1 can be left floating if unused.

    Connecting the NC pins to GND shouldn't be an issue but we recommend these pins to be left floating.

    I would recommend you to make your own board based on the MCF8316AEVM schematic.
