DRV8428E: DECAY/ TOFF Pin voltage drive

Part Number: DRV8428E

This question is really regarding the DRV8428P, but that part appears to be unknown to the forum. However the pin is the same on both chips.

This pin is a seven level input pin with various resistor values shown to change the behavior of the chip. However on page 7 of the data sheet the actual voltages corresponding to each resistor value are shown.

Would there be any problem with driving the pin directly from a D/A converter (possibly with a buffer in between) to the desired voltages instead of messing with resistors?

Thanks,

Don
