DRV10983: DRV10983 DIR pin pull down

Hello,

I have a custom board for DRV10983 paired with MSP430 G2352. I am using an external 4.75K pulldown resistor for DIR pin as per the reference design (TIDA-00386). But i can't change the direction on giving a High command at the pin, the voltage stays at 0.3V instead of going up to 3.3V.

Thanks for your question and for posting to the MD forum. Have you verified that the pin was actually toggling high? My concern is that something in the firmware was not set up properly so the pin might not actually be changing states, do you have a way of verifying if the pin is actually changing states without the pulldown in the path?

Other things to try would be to change the 4.75k pulldown resistor. This is a pretty standard value for pullup/pulldown, I typically recommend using a 10k ohm resistor so changing this value might be useful. My first recommendation would be to verify if the pin is indeed changing states.
