My customer is testing the DRV8718Q1 and have some questions about the offline short circuit and open load detection:
They are not sure how the function of monitoring SHx voltage and then feedback via SPI in VDS status related registers. I check the VDS status registers, their descriptions are about the overcurrent fault. If we would like to do the offline short circuit and open load detection, how the VDS_status register reflect to the each kind of fault since we only know they could refer overcurrent fault? Thank you.
