DRV8705S-Q1EVM: hardware pin configuration of IN1/EN, IN2/PH, nFAULT

Part Number: DRV8705S-Q1EVM

Hello

i'm using DRV8705S-Q1 with SPI operation mode and have a question

If I use SPI mode for operating, should I connect IN1/EN, IN2/PH, nFAULT pins to my microcontroller?

If It doesn't need, can you please let me know some guidelines for unused pin hardward configuration for those pins?

It may be pulldown connection??

  • Hello,

Thank you for interested in DRV8705S-Q1. IN1/EN, IN2/PH, nFAULT pins are not required to microcontroller. Here is recommendation when you do not use them.

-IN1/EN, IN2/PH : Leave them Open  (device has internal pull down. Or customer could put external pull down resister.

-nFAULT: External pull up resister to VCC (datasheet table 7-1). No need to connect to microcontroller, however nFAULT can be used debug purpose. Better to have this configuration for debug.
