Part Number: TMP814
Hi,
We are planning to use TMP814 to drive a brushed DC motor in a battery powered device (2S Li ion).
What would be the quiescent current when the motor is not operating?

Hi,

Hi Akash,
When the motor is not operating, it is still in drive mode or lock protection mode. The minimum IVCC supply current is 4 mA.

Thanks,
Aaron
Hi,
Is there any option to put the driver into sleep mode? We are designing a battery powered device and hence we want the quiescent current to be as low as possible.
Hi Akash,
Let me check the functionality of this with some experts on the team and I'll get back to you by the end of the day.
Thanks,
Aaron
Hi Akash,
I understand the requirement. However, because this device does not have a dedicated sleep mode, the lowest possible quiescent current appears to be 4mA.
Thanks,
Aaron
