DRV8251A: Abs Max Internal Current Limiting

Hey team,

Got a few more questions regarding the DRV8251a. Within the datasheet the Abs. Max for current is stated as 'Internally Limited.' I was curious how this was set? It is through the current mirror that monitors IPROPI?

Also curious if we expect that internal limit to vary over time and temperature?

Hi Cameron,

By "Internally limited" it is referring to OCP. The abs max current is limited to the OCP limit. I hope this is clear.Let me know if you need further clarification.

You are correct, there can be some variation on the OCP abs max value over temperature due to resistances changing over temperature.
