DRV110: Is device operable at 28V?

Hi,

Datasheet says that VIN range for DRV110 is 6V to 15V. It also says that it can accommodate voltages as high as 48V. I have a solenoid that requires 28V/1.25A max. If I apply the same 28V to VIN (through inline Rs resistor) and to the solenoid, will DRV110 be able to handle and operate?
