DRV2700: Can I drive a piezo speaker with a DRV8662 or DRV2665 instead of a DRV2700?

Hello,

I checked that the DRV2700EVM drives a 30nF capacitance piezo speaker/bender at 2.5kHz with 200Vp-p.

Can drv8662 and drv2665 operate under the same conditions?

If those are not possible, is the DRV2700 the only one that can operate in this condition?

Hi, the DRV2700,2665,2667,and 8662 share the same boost/amplifier architecture. So they are all able to operate under the same conditions.

The differences between these parts are in the digital blocks (RAM, I2C, etc)

Great! Thanks for answer my thread, Arthur.

In additionally, all datasheets except for the DRV2700 show that the load capacitance is 50nF when the recommended operating condition is 200Vp-p output and 500Hz frequency condition.

If these chips share the same boost/amplifier architecture, do they have the same characteristics as the graph shown in Figure 12 of the DRV2700 datasheet?

Yes the same bandwidth will apply to all the parts in this family
