there is no min. and max specification for the SPI frequency defined in our datasheet. Is there a recommendation available?

Josef,

Please see period. 1/period will give you maximum. We don't specify minimum as this is typically not a concern. If that is not the case for the customer, I can investigate more if you can provide their clock frequency.
