I ask if it' s possible to connect together n°2 driver DRV8840 in parallel to reach a double current, so 10amps instead of 5amps?
thanks

Hi Ryan, thanks for the reply but I see that none of these are available on Texas warehouse and on other distributors, so for this I was looking for the 2 drivers in parallel solution.
Only the DRV8833 is in limited stock but with too low voltage (up to 10.8V), when V> = 36V is needed. Why don't you recommend the parallel? Thanks and best regards
Hello again,
The timing of the two drivers can't be guaranteed to be the same from input pulse to output pulse. When you parallel, a shoot thru condition can happen as one output will turn on (high-side conducting) while the other output that is parallel connected may still be low. Short from power to GND in this case.
This is another option with stock. You can parallel connect these outputs...we have a mode for it built into the device.
