DRV8251A: Wanted: Application Note Sensorless speed regulation BDC motor H bridge

Hi,

I try to find a application note to create a sensorless speed regulation for a BDC motor in H bridge configuration.

I thought I could detect the speed of the motor with a measurement of BEMF and regulate it with a uC.

But all DRV * H bridge devices do not offer the measurement of BEMF.

DO yo have a application note or idea?

    Hi Wolf,

    There is one solution but it is not truly for speed regulation but for stall detection. Not sure if this is what you are looking for. The solution is to monitor the IPROPI voltage with uC to determine the motor current. This FAQ explains how this solution can be implemented with the DRV8251A.
