DRV8803: 14.6V measured at INX pin

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

The customer measured 14.6V on the INX pin of the chip, and the chip is able to working properly. While according to the manual, the input range for INX is -0.5 to 7V. The customer would like to know will this voltage cause some damage to the chip?

    The answer is yes. it is double the abs max rating for this pin. it can potentially cause damage to the driver. A good way to check if the pin is damaged is to measure the resistance of the pin to the device GND. If it is a low impedance, or varies greatly from the impedance of a new device, then it points to some damage occurring at the pin.
