DRV10983: Schematic review request

Hi, TI expert.

There is a request for review of the circuit diagram applied to DRV10983 by the customer. (Refer to the attached schematic)

Please let me know if there are any corrections.

- Working voltage: 12VDC

- Operating current: about 0.8A (in continuous operation)

- RPM band: no load: 4000, load 2700 (estimated)

Hi Grady,

Thanks for posting your question in MD forum. I reviewed your schematic and have one comment. Please replace C4 with 10 uF capacitor. Rest of the schematic looks good.

Thanks for the reply.

In [POWER PART] on the circuit diagram, since the chip capacitor of C1 (2012, 25V, 10uF) is applied to the VCC stage, 1uF is applied to C4.

In that case, wouldn't it be okay to use 1uF for C4?

In addition, is it okay to use MLCC instead of electrolytic cap for VCC Capacitor?

Sorry I didn't notice C1 in the power part. Yes, you should be good with C1 and C4 across Vcc and GND. We recommend using ceramic caps and placing them closer to Vcc pin in the layout.
