DRV8432: Driving 2-phase stepper motor

Part Number: DRV8432

Hi team,

Here's an issue from the customer may need your help:

When driving a two-phase stepper motor, there are four inputs, PWMA~PWMD. How are the 4 inputs configured on the MCU side?

The drive chip for a stepper motor has a step pin, and a pulse corresponds to a step angle, right?

Could you help check this case? Thanks.

Best Regards,

Cherry

  • Cherry,

If you desire a much simpler interface like STEP/DIR, please see the DRV8462.  It is new version of the the DRV8412/32.

There is a pad-up (DDV) and pad-down (DDW) package that is similar to DRV8412/8432.

    Regards,

    Ryan
