Hi Team,

I'm writing this E2E thread for my customer, they using our BOOSTXL-DRV8320RS + LAUNCHXL-F280049C and successful to control a BLDC motor by Code Composer Studio.

Now since they plan to drive higher motor current, so they fully follow our BOOSTXL-DRV8320RS and LAUNCHXL-F280049C schematic and layout to design their own board. But still using our LAUNCHXL-F280049C SPI to USB cable to connect to their NB running our Code Composer Studio.

When they testing their own DRV and DSP board to control a no load motor, some time(fail rate 20%) the CCS will show Error -1044 & -1156, when they assemble the motor to their system(have the system weight load) then the CCS will 100% show Error -1044 & -1156 once the motor start to moving, it's connectable at first, but show error after the motor start to run.

Could we have E2E expert help to investigate this issue?

Or do you have any idea or suggestion regarding Error -1044 & -1156?

Hey Kai,

Is the VM voltage dropping? Or is the Enable pin not getting the correct voltage to wake up the device? A waveform to check these would be a good first step.

Seems like there is something wrong on the board to cause the emulator disconnection. Is there any error message if you just connect the emulator and run the code without starting the motor or connecting the motor to the board? Where is 3.3V power supply for F28004x from? Did you monitor the power supply for the Gate driver and F28004x?
