DRV8311HEVM: SPI compatibility

I am in the process of testing the SPI interface on DRV8311HEVM and have a simple question. Is the populated DRV8311 circuit compatible with all different interfaces H/S/P?

Hey Johannes,

Thank you for posting your question to our E2E.

The EVM is populated for the hardware variant by default but it is SPI and tSPI compatible. Please refer to section 4.4 of the EVM userguide on how to configure for SPI and tSPI variants.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm not sure if you need to replace the DRV8311 circuit populated at U1. This is described in section 5 Hardware Setup. I guess that's the case.

Hi Johannes,

Yes, you would need to replace the hardware variant IC with the SPI version.
