DRV2625: auto calibration environment

Guru 29690 points
Part Number: DRV2625

Hi Team,

My customer considers to use DRV2625 with LRA for small hand-held electronic application.
The application is assumed to vibrate while holding in one hand.

If so, I believe DRV2625 auto calibration should be applied under same environment (apply auto calibration while holding in one hand).
Is my understanding correct?
I can share the detail application in off-line.

Best Regards,
Yaita

  • Hi Yaita,

Yes the autocalibration should be performed under conditions that are as similar to the use case as possible.

for example when we test DRV2625 for cellphones. we will mount the LRA to a 100gram aluminum bar, that represents the mass of a phone, and then place that mass on a block of open cell foam, to represent the human hand.

For the customers testing they should either use a prototype device or a representative mass to evaluate the calibration.

    Regards,

    Arthur
