DRV8320: Any issue of using only L side (GLx)?

Hi team,

My customer would like to know if is there going to be any issue if you use only the L side of DRV8320 - GLx, especially if is it going to trigger nFault?

If there is a setting that will trigger nFault in the above condition, please let me know.

    Hi Luke,

    Thank you for posting to the Motor Drivers forum!

    There should not be any issues with only toggling the low-side, GLx, just make sure that it is never the case that GLx=H when GHx=H.

    If an nFault were to be triggered in this case, a possibility could be some kind of 'shoot-trough fault protection' with 'dead time insertion'.
