DRV8874-Q1: Is there any problem to contorl PWM signal (IN1/IN2) before waiting tWAKE or on transition from sleep mode to active mode?

Hi team, 

Is there any problem to contorl PWM signal (IN1/IN2) before waiting tWAKE1 or on transition from sleep mode to active mode? We use "PWM mode". 

We understand that changing this device to active mode from sleep mode needs to change nSLEEP=0 to nSLEEP=1 and elasping tWAKE=1msmax.
If we contorl IN1/IN2 by PWM signal during this transition (or nSLEEP=1 but not wait tWAKE), does DRV8874-Q1 just ignore IN1/IN2 signal and OUT1/OUT2 follow these signal after tWAKE? 
Or is there any serious problem to do that?
