DRV10983EVM: Strange behavior after restarting the DRV10983EVM

Part Number: DRV10983EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV10983

Dear TI,

I was able to get the motor into close loop control and it works properly without any issue.

However, when I turn off the power supply to the DRV10983 (while the motor wires are still connected to the board), and turn the power supply back on, the DRV10983EVM cannot drive the motor anymore. Do you know what caused this problem? Do I need to re "open configuration."

Thanks,

Khoi

  • Hi Khoi,

Are the registers 0x20 to 0x2B programmed in the EEPROM? When the device powers up, the values in the EEPROM registers are used to run the algorithm. After loading the configuration, click "eeWrite" in the Basic setting tab of the GUI. Make sure the supply voltage is above 22V.

    Regards,

    Vishnu
