DRV8243S-Q1LEVM: OLA fault in PH/EN mode

Hi team, customer use DRV8243S-Q1LEVM to do OCP test. but they find that OLA is asserted mistakenly when OCP removed, which is presented only in PH/EN mode and is normal in PWM mode. could you help me to find the reason of OLA fault?

the test load is inductive: 5ohms, 1.66mH

out 1 and out 2 both of PH/EN and PWM mode:

out 1 : high for 200ms, high for 800ms, low for 200ms, high for 800ms

out 2: low for 200ms, high for 800ms, high for 200ms, high for 800ms

Hi,

Thank you for your questions. OLA is checking voltage spike during high side recirculation. So if tis situation happens, OLA fault could be detected.

If the detailed test sequence and motor load connection is shared, let us investigate the scenario. Waveform with nFAULT trigger, OUT1/OUT2 and motor current could be helpful.
