DRV2511Q1EVM: DRV2511Q1EVM Start up issue - Driver no output & Drv on LED does not light on

Part Number: DRV2511Q1EVM

Hi Sirs

We would like to start up DRV2511Q1EVM  for haptic test.

Issue

1. No output waveform

2. "DRV on" LED light ALWAYS OFF

Process as following

1. Power external power(5V) to J5

2. Swtich S1 from 2 to 3(Set Driver Enable on)

3. Turn on Haptic control console

4. Press "BSL" bottom => Connect USB to PC(LED D3 light on) => release "BSL" bottom" => Haptic control console => help => FW update => "Scan Device" => install "DRV2511q1EVM_1p5" => "Update"

    => FW update success

5. "Connect" => "Connection USB"

6. Console - DRV2511 => Wavebuilder => "Sine" => "START WAVEFORM" => LED D5 light on

7. We make sure Driver is powered and enable on / MCU send PWM signal to Driver

   => But Driver does not observe output waveform & LED DRV ON always light off

Could you check the process to start up? Thank you

    Hi Jax,

    When you're connected to the Haptic Control Console, can you click the "Enable" Switch on the GUI panel?

    Let me know if that works,

    Process as following

    Add process--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    5.5. Haptic Control Console: Click the "Enable" Switch on the GUI panel => DRV ON(D4) light on

    5.6. Haptic Control Console: Set PWM to 50%, Freq. to Resonance frequency

    5.7  Haptic Control Console: Standard driver => Click "PWM Playback"

    => It will operate normally.

    => Thank you
