What is our approach for simulating a full system, motor driver AND motor? What are the tools and software recommended?

We can only support IC level simulations with our SPICE models NOT a full system simulation.
For general motor simulation, a DC motor equivalent circuit can be used as shown below. The BACK_EMF is optional but can be used in the simulation if known. the inductance L and resistance R of the motor is obtained from motor datasheet and Back-EMF from experimental data.
Another alternative is to obtain a complete DC motor model from the motor manufacturer itself or from a generic DC motor model from the internet.
Attaching the DC motor (equivalent circuit or complete model) to the motor driver IC model can be used to simulate driver IC + DC motor BUT not the entire system.
