hi team,

do we have any limitation on the variation of STEP control signal? as this is driven by MCU GPIO, there may be variation on the control frequency which is not fully aligned with setting frequency.

so my customer want to evaluate what kind of variation can we accept of the STEP control signal? should we just aligned with below table timing requirement is enough?

    Kelly,

    Any variation in the frequency will just affect the speed of the stepper motor.  The DRV8428 doesn't care about frequency variation as long as it is not higher than 500kHz and the duration HIGH and duration LOW conditions are met per the table.
