Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MCT8316A
Hi team,
Can MCT8329A produce a torque of 200mNm within 500ms from the start-up time?
Best regards,

Hi Shunsuke,
Torque is mainly dependent on the motor specifications and the available current that can be supplied to the motor. If the motor and supply together have the ability to produce 200mNm, then the MCT8329A can turn on and switch the external MOSFETs within the required 500ms time period allowing for the motor to produce the 200mNm of torque.

Hi Joshua,
Thank you for the reply. The available motor current would be 19A at maximum.

Hi Shunsuke,
Could you provide the datasheet of the motor that will be used as well?
Thank you,
Joshua
Hi Shunsuke,
What percent of the 100% total torque (full load) is 200mNm? The sensorless trapezoidal algorithm in the MCT8316A can support light loads (20-30% of the full load) at start up.

Joshua
