DRV8312: PVDD: Absolute max ratings vs Recommended Operating Conditions

In DRV8312 datasheet, it was noted:

- Section 6.1 - Absolute Max Ratings, VDD to GND = 13.2V

- Section 6.3 - Recommended Operating Conditions, VDD (MAX) = 13.2V

Customer sees this datasheet spec as incorrect. Absolute max ratings should be at a higher value than recommended operating conditions.

Can TI clarify why Absolute max and Recommended operating are the same?

Hi Sonia, Eddie,

While the datasheet does say 13.2V is the maximum value, the device was tested for and is recommended to operate typically at 12V (for VDD), so I must recommend to not operate up to 13.2V like the recommendation-table would typically allow. The reason for these two values being the same, Abs-max and recommended, lies much deeper into the board design and testing and I am unable to provide a more complete answer at this time.
