Hello,
Could you please be more specific about the supposed "error" you found in the datasheet?
The decay modes are a way to regulate the motor current. Fast decay, reverses the polarity across the load to allow for quicker current dissipation from the coils. This method is also considered as reverse drive.
I hope this resolves any issues.
Please respond if there are any other concerns.

David
Hello David,
Item 2 is a fast attenuation mode, but Figure 8-5 shows that Item 2 is a slow attenuation mode.
I draw lines and frames.

Hello Change,
Fast decay recirculation mode is when current is said to decay to zero as fast as possible. This is achieved by enabling the opposing FETs, after a specified dead time, and applying a voltage across inductive load in the opposing polarity.

Slow decay current is decays to zero slower than fast decay. This is achieved by disabling the high side FETs and enabling only the low side FETs. In some devices, high side slow decay is configurable as well.

A more detailed description of current recirculation and decay modes can be found on this app note:

Hi David,
I can understand what you mean, but what I want to say is that the datasheet has made an error and he interprets the slow attenuation mode as the fast attenuation mod.

Hi Change,
We will look into the correction.
Thank you for your help.
