I am using DRV8434A for stepper motor driving.

My question is in which mode the driver drives the motor: L/R or Chopper?

Hey Joel,

Our motor drivers are all current-controlled motor drivers, so it would be more similar to "Chopper" mode. The DRV8434A has many advanced features beyond a simple Chopper control method - see 7.3.5 Current Regulation and Decay Mode. Smart Tune Ripple Control increases motor efficiency and performance.
