Hello I am testing MCT8316ZTEVM, and I have some questions;

(1) RED LED (set for nFAULT)  keep flasing, what status does it stand for? 

(2) When the alarm generated, is the nFAULT always in low status?

(3) I am planning to apply rated hall voltage as 5 volts for my motor with MCT8316Z0T,

but as long as I check the rated voltages related with driver's hall signals,

It seems to be expected AVDD 3.3volts.

If I use it with the 5 volts as hall voltage, what kind of wiring diagram should I apply?

    Hardware devices will report faults by pulling the nFault pin low. Please try following this FAQ on debugging faults with Hardware variant devices as it provides a good overview of steps to debugging some hardware variant in hardware variant devices. 

    Since the nFault LED is flashing this indicated that the fault does is not a latching fault which means it is most likely a under voltage condition or an over temperature condition since these types of faults will automatically recover and pull the nFault pin high once the fault condition has cleared.

    Some alarms (faults) will trigger a latched response keeping the nFault pin low until a nSLEEP Reset Pulse is sent. Other faults, like the ones mentioned above, will automatically stop pulling nFault low once the fault condition is no longer detected.

    For the MCT8316Z, the hall inputs should not exceed AVDD. Therefore 5V is too high and should not be used.
