Hello everyone,

I am looking for full sytem BLDC Integrates Solutions. I used MP6570 with MP6543H in my old designs, but for now I want to make a new design with TI products. So I need to new ICs with the same junctions MPS components.

What do you prefer for this situation?

Hi Oben,

You can check MCF8316C-Q1 which is FOC, integrated driver + FET internal.

It has I2C, PWM/Analog based speed control, Sleep mode/Standby mode, DIR, FG (Configurable period) , Motor parameter Extraction Tool etc.

Please search for the data sheet on TI website.

Hi Oben,

I looked into the other link, there is position control, Trapezoidal mode mentioned. Do you need position control / Trapezoidal mode also?

Hello Venkatadri,

I need exactly same system. The system is what I talking about it MT6570 + MT6543H. I don't need to position control and do you want to still answer of "What is the rating of the motor? Power, Speed, R, L BEMF Constant?" Is it necesary?

I will try to list important features

MCF8316/5/A/C Fully Integrated Solution

1. MCF831XC (MCF8316C/MCF8315C/A)is all integrated single chip.

2. MCF831XC is I2C only

3. No need of external signal conditioner for sampling VDC, IDC

4. Internal Algo has feature voltage raise on the DC bus with Anti Voltage Surge protection

5. Fast deceleration mode through active brake feature which does not require external protection circuit

6. Buil in Motor Parameter extraction tool which can measure R, L, BEMF constant and tune speed loop automatically.

7. Built in current Loop Tuning.

8. Non volatile memory to store the tuning and works independently without need of external Host

9. peak current available for 8A/4A

10. Speed loop accuracy <30% with internal clock

11. Built in LDO/Buck mode and no need of external LDO

12. Protections like OVP, OCP, UV, Roto Lock detection, configurable Current Limit detection and protection, abnormal speed detection, no motor fault detection, Thermal warning and shutdown, programable software based Over Voltage and Under Voltage detection,

13. Various methods of startup - Initial Position detection (fats startup), Initial Speed Detection (catch on the fly) , align rotor before start etc.,

14. Various methods of motor stopping option - Hiz (coast and stop), slow down and stop (avoids DC bus surge), Brake with low side (avoid inductive current to flow back to DC bus)

MCF8329A [Controller + Gate Driver] + MOSFET

Important features

1. Singl shunt - No need of 3 shunt resistor

2. Current rating can be flexible since we need External MOSFET - Advantage is thermal, better slew rate control.

3. Close Loop controls are Speed mode, Current mode, Voltage Mode, Power control mode, MTPA, Flux weakening.

All other protection features, startup mode, stop mode, Speed Loop, Current Loop tuning are same like integrated system.
