Hi Team,

Hi Peter,
The DRV8845 is a quad H-bridge motor driver. This could be a possible replacement if only 4 H-bridges are needed.
The DRV8912-Q1 is a 12-channel half-bridge driver that would match the number of available channels.
Best,
David
Hi Sir,
Checked with customer, they use the driver for shutter control and need the current limit function.
It seems DRV8912-Q1 did not support the current limit function, right?
If yes, any suggestions for it?
Thanks.
Hi Peter,
The DRV8912-Q1 does have an Overcurrent Protection circuit (OCP) that will protect the device from inrush, shorts, or transient current spikes that may damage the device.
If Current Regulation is needed, than yes I would agree that the DRV8845 or DRV8849 would be a suitable replacement.
The DRV8849 offers more microstepping levels (256 u-step levels) and integrated current sensing, compared to the DRV8845 which has (4 u-step levels) and external current sensing.
See more about the comparison of these devices listed below.
Best,
David
