DRV8718-Q1: Eliminating the MOSFET

Can you share their load profile peak and continuous current, and voltage level?  We have some recently released integrated drivers they might be interested in that are very high current (for integrated), see DRV8145-Q1 46A peak with 16mΩ RDS(ON).

The customer need multi-channel to cost down. The integration is too expensive.

Ahh okay, understood.  

The case you describe is Half-Bridge control which this device does support. I don't see any issue with not populating unused channels.  However I do recommend using Half-Bridge control schemes, not Full-Bridge control scheme with 2 FETs unpopulated.

So they want to use full-bridge control scheme, just eliminating the MOSFET cost.

Another question is how to connect GLx/SLx and GHY/DRAINY pin?

The customer is Sunwoda-STLA. The application body control module.

I already have promoted all the devices.

Because the customer need multi-channel motor driver.

The DRV824x series is much expensive than DRV8718+MOSFET.

Could you just tell me

Because they worried about  external wiring harness short, they do not want to use half bridge to control the motor.

They still want to choose full bridge, but eliminate two MOS.
