DRV8235: Default configuration

Unfortunately not, the EN_OUT bit needs to be set to enable the output.  

As a workaround, you could potentially bitbang out the I2C signal just for that command, though you would still need to connect the SDA/SCL lines to your MCU for this.  

What is the current and voltage of your load?  I might be able to recommend a different hardware-only device for you that will be cheaper than DRV8235.

Thank you for the reply. Mine requirements are a very small bridge (3x3mm it’s ok), with 2-3A and for 2S/3S bartery.

Know you if in the same footprint and pinout I can find other bridge? I made yet the pcb and I want to check my complete design although in the next version change the bridge.

Hmm for same footprint, your best bet is probably using DRV8213 and doing your initial testing with 2S battery as that device is only rated for 11V maximum.

Mmm… Would be possible config the I2C registers (EN_OUT) outside of the board? The register memory it’s volatile or not volatile?

And sadly not, it's volatile - needs to be written with the device settings upon boot each time.  

For your next version of the board maybe look at DRV8231A - it is 35V/3.7A peak, just 8 pins all hardware control, and it's much cheaper than DRV8235.  

Another option is DRV8876 though it's an older device than DRV8231A.
