DRV8302: Error on datasheet

Part Number: DRV8302

Tool/software:

Hi,

I recently had to help a user that was confused as to why pin 10 GAIN was both designated an OUTPUT but also connected to 0V

You can see in the pin table that Pin 10 is an output but then the description text seems to suggest it's an input.

However in the pin characteristics table it is included in the list of input pins.

In the functional block diagram it has an arrow pointing towards the DRV8302

In the layout example it also has an arrow pointing towards the DRV8302

  • Hi Robert,

Thanks for mentioning this! Yes, the GAIN pin is an input and is used to configure the amplifier GAIN by either pulling it high or pulling it low. The driver looks at the voltage on this input pin to select the desired gain.  Sorry for the confusion!

    Regards,

    Anthony Lodi
