MCT8329A: Reading the motor voltage via the DAC

Part Number: MCT8329A

Tool/software:

Hello

Is it possible to read the voltage applied to the motor using the DACOUT line on the MCT8329A?

Thanks

  • Hi Ron,

The DACOUT can be set to output the values contained outlined in Table 7-57 Algorithm Variables in the MCT8329A datasheet.

So while the voltage applied cannot be explicitly output by DACOUT, the CURRENT_DUTY can which can be used, if the voltage input to VM is known, to determine the applied motor voltage.

    Regards,

    Joshua
