DRV110: Further consultation on DRV110V chip holding current accuracy

Part Number: DRV110

Tool/software:

Regarding this chip of DRV110V, I have consulted the accuracy range of Ipeak and Ihold on the forum before, and the reply I got is as follows.
Regarding the reply in the figure, I would like to further consult: it is mentioned in the reply that the accuracy is higher when the current is small. Test under the conditions given in the specification, the range of Ihold is 40mA to 65mA, the standard value is 50mA, the accuracy range is -20% to +30%, if the actual application of Ihold is larger, then the Ihold range will be expanded? If it will expand, is it to expand according to the percentage of -20% to +30% (such as ±40%), or according to the current value of -10mA to +15mA to expand (such as ±20mA)?

  • Hello,

As long as the device is operated within the recommended operating conditions it should behave within all datasheet parameters. It's difficult to say the exact percentage the operating current could vary due to the various factors associated with current ratings. The parameters IPEAK and IHOLD are specified over –40°C ≤ TA ≤ 125°C, with VIN = 14V which means you should never see the current vary larger than -20% to +30%. The previous post mentioned it's possible to see larger variations from the typical value with different currents but still within -20% to +30%.

    Best,

    David
