DRV8323R: Minimum I_VM quested

Part Number: DRV8323R

Tool/software:

I use the DRV8323RS and would like to know the minimum current flow in Vm.

Since in the datasheet there is only typical (10,5 mA) and maximum value (14 mA) given, i ask here whether there is more information about the minimum value.

Are the minimum values deviating much from the typical values in the datasheet or where are the dependencies?

Btw I am using 47nF 10% Capacitor between CPH and CPL.  A 1µF 10% Capacitor is connected between DVDD and AGND, in case that is relevant.

  • Hi Natalie,

Thank you for posting to our forum!

Please allow me to look into this information further and provide additional feedback by the end of the week.

  • Hi Joshua,

Thank you for having a look!
I am really looking forward to this information end of the week!

    Thank you again

  • Hi Natalie,

From my understanding we do not explicity characterize the minimum current spec in the datasheet as it not typically considered as  important as the max and typical current draw. However,  the minimum current is ~10.1mA, and the graphs attached detail the condition in which you are expected to observe the behavior, as a lower temperature and voltage will result in lower current draws, while higher temperature and voltages result in higher currents.

Since the device does not power on until 6V, the condition of 6V and -40C will provide the lowest supply current draws, however other device parameters based on supply voltage night be (negatively) affected as well.

I hope this information has been helpful!

    Best Regards,

    -Joshua
